The Dallas Mavericks are starting a campaign to gather cosy winter apparel for low-income families.
Between now and January 22nd, anybody interested in taking part in the “Winter Warm Up” is welcome to bring new or lightly used jackets, blankets, and other winter essentials.
The Austin Street Centre, a nearby organisation that offers basic necessities and secure refuge to the most disadvantaged people, will benefit from the donated goods.
Visit a Raising Cane’s store to make a donation. On January 22, during the Mavericks’ home game, donations will also be collected at the American Airlines Centre.
From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Mavericks guard Seth Curry will assist in starting the drive at the Raising Cane’s on Greenville Avenue in Northeast Dallas.
