The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII, and the two of them celebrated on the field.

Television cameras closely monitored 34-year-old Travis Kelce, a 6-foot-5-inch tight end with a buzz cut and a thick beard, as he participated in one of the most significant games of his NFL career on the evening of February 11, 2024, in Las Vegas. For other viewers, however, it was even more significant because cameras followed Kelce’s girlfriend, pop phenomenon Taylor Swift.

Some fans probably started to worry a lot as the Kansas City Chiefs marched down the field to win Super Bowl LVIII on a walk-off touchdown pass in overtime, when the confetti started to rain in Allegiant Stadium, and when Kelce and Swift started to celebrate. They were speculating that everything was proceeding according to plan in the vast plot.

However, despite the plethora of theories circulating regarding Kelce and Swift’s potential post-Super Bowl actions, we were unable to locate any proof that, contrary to what some users on social media claimed, should former US President Donald Trump win the 2024 presidential election, they had declared they would be leaving the country:

This specific allegation is the product of a broader conspiracy involving Taylor Swift and the Super Bowl.

A few weeks into the NFL season, Kelce and Swift made their relationship public, which is when the tale began. The Kansas City Chiefs, who were already among the NFL’s most talked-about teams, came under much more scrutiny over the course of the following several months. The Chiefs lost a couple games that they could have won in the last weeks of the season, which left sports analysts unsure about the team’s quality.

However, the Chiefs got a second wind during the playoffs and defeated teams who some pundits believed to be superior to make it to the Super Bowl. Then the conspiracy theories started: the Chiefs, and consequently Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, would win the Super Bowl because officials would rig games in the NFL.

A few pundits went one step farther. On X (previously known as Twitter), former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy conjectured that following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, Swift and Kelce will openly support Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential contest.

So anyone who bought into the ideas would have been concerned when the Chiefs rallied to win a Super Bowl that the 49ers controlled for extended periods of time. Some of those suspicions may have been validated by an X post that claimed Kelce and Swift had publicly said they would flee the nation in the event that Trump won.

However, we were unable to locate any reliable sources covering the purported declaration from Swift and Kelce. If the two had made such a statement, news outlets ranging from sports blogs to big newspapers would have covered it, especially considering the strong media coverage that surrounds the Super Bowl.

We assess this claim as “False” since we discovered that no media outlets have reported on the purported news.
