Actor Christian Oliver “Speed Racer” and his two young daughters dead in a plane crash in Caribbean

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said that actor Christian Oliver, his two young kids, and the pilot perished in an aircraft accident on a Caribbean island on Thursday.

Oliver was a 51-year-old Christian Klepser in real life. Madita Klepser and Annik Klepser, his daughters, were ten and twelve years old, respectively. Pilot Robert Sachs perished in the mishap as well. The plane carried only them as passengers.

Sachs was the owner and pilot of the little, one-engine aircraft. On Thursday afternoon, it crashed one nautical mile west of Petit Nevis, a tiny island in the Grenadines. At around 12:11 p.m., the aircraft took off from the J.F. Mitchell Airport at Paget Farm, Bequia, an island in the Grenadines, with St. Lucia as its ultimate destination.

Oliver, his kids, and Sachs’ remains were found by the Coast Guard, and a medical authority later declared them deceased. They were flown to the Kingstown Mortuary in St. Vincent, where post-mortem exams would be performed to ascertain the cause of death.

Oliver’s resume from the 1990s to the 2020s included several credits. His most recent roles were as racing driver Snake Oiler in 2008’s “Speed Racer” and as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny from last year. Additionally, he starred in several films, including “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” “The Baby-Sitters Club,” “Sense 8,” and “Inspector George Gently.”
